NamBurn is an pure volunteer driven, non-prifit event based on the African Principles of Ubuntu, combined with the Principles of Larry Harvey of Burning man.
 YOU are invited to create, collaborate, participate and be part of our unique Community.

IT IS the creative art and theme camp projects that you create that are the headliners.

- First Tier - Participant Creative Projects, Artists, Theme and Sound Camps.
- Second Tier - Limited general sale.

Theme Camps

Theme Camp is an camp whose primary gift is in providing an activity or service to the Community.
Theme Camps must register for placement and commit to adhering to our Leave no Trace to participate.
Sound Camp
APPLICATIONS OPEN
- Applications close: 30ish January 2026
 
A Sound Camp is a theme camp whose primary gift is music, dance and sound. .
All Sound Camps must register for placement and commit to adhering to our Sound Policy to participate.
We love to party, music and to dance, but it is not our primary interest, as we are not a music festival.
We do not 'headline' or advertise line-ups.

Everything that inspire you to be creative in service of the Community!
From building an art piece, meditation or yoga class, offering  music, fire performance, poetry recital, painting or a theme camp in service of the Community.
Burnable Art - Important!

Basic Guidelines & Procedures
- Burnable art has to be created from solid wood that does not create dangerous sparks. Safety First!
- Recommend to use pallet wood, pine or OSB.
- No plastics, horns/bones, paper or grass!

- YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Designated placement burn-pit.
- Cleaning up after your burn (removing all screws and metal).
- Filling in your burn pit and leave no trace.
- If your are not sure, ask for advice.
- Fire Safety First -
There is electricity on site
 
Plan ahead! Bring head-lamps, solar-lamps, gas-stove. We can assist, speak to us..
